From our small artisan distillery on the island of Palawan, Nao Agila is a tribute to our Philippine islands history.
From 1596 to 1815, only the the bravest undertook to sail the Nao De Manila trade route, a 30,000 Kilometer voyage encircling the globe from Manila to Mexico. Those Philippine sailors took local riches to trade, as well as brining to the americas our spirit distillation methods, which is still used today by Mexican Mazcaleros.
Our legendary Philippine Eagle, the Agila, worshiped by indigenous tribes, soared in the same trade winds at the Nao Galleons. For centuries the magnificent bird of prey has restlessly watched over our history, the bravery of our people and their spirit of adventure, and, of course, the harvesting of our precious sugar cane.
Today, we honor both the sailors brave enough cross oceans and the Agila, who keeps watch, with our small batch artisan rum, Nao Agila.
Join us and raise a glass to the spirit of adventure.
